Unique Cross Stitch Frames

Old-fashioned cross stitch frames are quite pricey and they usually need a long time to complete. No need to worry, because there are other unique options that are cost-effective and you can see your finished work in no time.

Here are some practical alternative cross stitch frames:

* Photo frames make the best options if you are looking for fast and inexpensive replacements for conventional cross stitch frames. Photo frames are also great for keeping your needlecraft clean.

You may find unique picture frames that can fit the theme of your cross stitch. There are also those that come with built-in matting and embellishments. You may want to add decorations to your frame by purchasing a plain photo frame and separate decorative items. You may use beads and small trimmings by gluing them on the photo frame to save some more.

* Photo albums are also great to use as cross stitch frames. The small openings on the cover and the pages of these albums allow you to slip your cross stitch artworks. You can also show all of your finished products to everyone when they’re arranged in a photo album.

* You may want to use shadow boxes as another option. It looks similar to a picture frame but it has a larger space in between the frame and the glass which allows you slip in some small extra items. You can add trimmings to your work provided that they can fit into the opening and space inside.

* Hoop frames are also great options if you want your works mounted on different shaped and sized cross stitch frames. You may add decorations to your finished work to make it more personal. If you want to directly decorate your cross stitch artwork, you should choose hoop frames with no glass cover.

* Mini sample patterns are those small pieces of cross stitch works that can be included on other fabric-based items like table napkins, pillows, and small towels.

Preserving your cross stitch artworks does not have to be expensive. You can always go for unconventional cross stitch frames. If you want to see your finished artwork without waiting for ages, just be patient in looking for substitutes to help you save money and time.
